Our Icemaker Works!

We have ice!
I would’ve been fine if we didn’t have an icemaker, but having one that didn’t work, especially when it was working when we bought the boat, really made me sad.

I would’ve been fine if we didn’t have an icemaker, but having one that didn’t work, especially when it was working when we bought the boat, really made me sad.

We didn’t know if it was a clogged hose or something I did messing with the taps under the sink. But, we didn’t really have a chance to look at it until yesterday.

And when I say we, I mean Greg. Greg took a picture of the underside of the sink and saw what was going on. He immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it.

I woke up to a freezer full of ice!

The boat has a sidebar which is really cool. You can dispense alcohol from the tap.

Cocktails and Docktales

We were really looking forward to cocktails and docktales with our fellow loopers and we wanted to be able to host a gathering on the dock.

Of course we can host without a sidebar and icemaker, but the sidebar is such a fun thing and ice right at hand just makes the party better.

Now all I need is a blender!

Now that the ice maker is working, I had an excuse to buy a blender, which I did today. Next on the list — a cocktail shaker set.

Back when I was a Thrive Life representative, I had a cocktail party with co-workers to test out cocktails with freeze-dried strawberries and various types of rum. It was more a daquiri party, actually. We used Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Kraken, and just regular Bacardi. We tried blended and muddled. It was a lot of fun.

I can’t wait until we catch up with our fellow Loopers. I’m hoping some of you would like to come over and shoot the breeze and try out some whiskey, vodka, scotch, tequila, and rum cocktails.
