So Far So Good

I have to admit, I’m a little superstitious. I don’t want to jinx things by saying that the last few days have been pretty darn good.

We arrived at Heritage Harbor — one of the top ten Marinas on the Loop —.just as the sun was setting on Friday night.

Our journey there was problem-free. Our engine didn’t die. This is likely because we didn’t go above planing speed, which is just over 8 miles per hour.

We had dinner at Red Dog where I found yet another beer that I like. I only discovered within the past few years that I don’t hate all beer, I just hate most beer. Finding new beer that I like is exciting for me.

Greg let me take some goofy pictures of him.

I also tried to take a selfie that flattered us both but was unsuccessful.

COURTESY VEHICLE

We took a chance and borrowed the courtesy van to go shopping since we still had no groceries.

It didn’t break down.

LOOP BRIEFING

Jeremy, the Harbor Master, gave us a two-hour briefing about the Loop, something he does for boaters almost every night. The breadth of information he provides is amazing. I think Jeremy is one of the main reasons this Marina is so highly rated. That and the beauty of the Marina itself.

We would like to have stayed longer, but we can already feel the chill in the air.

About US

Greg and Charlene

We’re Greg and Charlene.

The Journey So Far starts when we left the cottage for our boating adventure.

We’re documenting our journey here so that we can look back when we are old(er) and remember the adventure we had.

We also want to share our adventure with family and friends.

Our sons Matthew and Matthew will join us on our journey at times.
